as i turned onto the cemetery’s main road on my run, i noticed an older woman mouthing something. “peaceful place to jog, isn’t it?” she asked as i removed one earbud. i, breathless and awkward, said “yeah, no *pant* cars, just *pant* peace out here.” all the while, she smiled, reminding me to stay hydrated. “i’m about to head home for a drink.” “cool,” she said with a nod. we smiled at each other one last time, said “have a lovely day,” and then i was off, the team rainbow rocket grunt theme pushing me forward.
it’s easy to forget other people are out there, y’know? i wonder who she was mourning, or perhaps simply remembering. thank you, ma’am, whatever your name is.
i can’t be the only one who finds these two both gorgeous. the female grunt, apart from her, ahem, generous proportions, just has this energy about her. i’m finding myself genuinely attracted to the male grunt. something about the intensity of his expression screams “i’d like to see you try and wipe my team, punk.” and the rainbow rocket logo? how much more openly gay can you get?
in giving my pokemon playlist its daily listen, i thought about favorite pokemon. mine’s mawile. now, it occurred to me that everyone has a different motivation for choosing their beloved ‘mon, and i just want to remind everyone now.
don’t be a jerk about the reasoning behind someone’s favorite pokemon.
if trevenant enchants you with boreal phantom vibes? love that tree! enormous sky lizards tickle your fancy? rayquaza it is! biological interaction within the pokemon universe is your jam? have your mareanie feast on corsola!
enough people out there enjoy the series that every single pokemon has at least one person who goes absolutely crazy over them. doesn’t that just warm your heart?
whether it’s due to a profound personal connection or because they think the design/moveset/you name it is cool, respect people’s favorite pokemon, man.
